So why does the gear so often forget that? When I was searching for a Pickleball Paddle in the UK, everything on the market felt like it was designed by people who'd forgotten what it feels like to actually enjoy playing — too serious, too generic, too plain. 

The Story

Hi, I'm Grace. I love pickleball — properly love it. What I couldn't find was a paddle that felt like that. Something in my hand that actually reflected who I was, not just a spec sheet. Everything out there was either dull and plain, or cheap and disposable. Nothing had real personality.

So I made it myself.

What Cortaire Actually Is

Cortaire is pickleball gear for people who want to enjoy the game, not just play it. Bold designs. Proper performance — carbon fibre construction and our own AireTech surface for real grip and spin control. Paddles that look like nothing else on the court, because you're not like everyone else on the court either.

We're not here to make you take pickleball more seriously. We're here to make sure you're having a genuinely good time while you get better at it. (Also, there IS scientific evidence that you play better with a brightly designed paddle!!)

Community First

Pickleball is one of the most welcoming sports out there — new players, seasoned players, every age, every background, all sharing a court and usually laughing about it. That's the bit we love most, and it's the bit we want Cortaire to be part of. Not just a paddle brand, but part of the community that shows up, cheers each other on, and makes room for whoever turns up next.

We also believe sport is more than a game. It's genuinely good for mental health, it builds confidence, and sports can be life-changing for people navigating disability. As Cortaire grows, we want to put that belief into action — supporting initiatives that get more people, including those who might otherwise be left out, onto the court.
